The opening idea
Two regions confined to columns can eliminate a false middle option and turn the rest of the board into a forced chain.
Meowdoku Level 9 answer
Try the deductions below first, or open the answer when you want to check your completed board.
Reveal all 6 cat positions
Cat coordinates
- R1C5Row 1, column 5
- R2C1Row 2, column 1
- R3C3Row 3, column 3
- R4C6Row 4, column 6
- R5C4Row 5, column 4
- R6C2Row 6, column 2
The 6 cats occupy distinct rows, columns and regions. Neighboring rows place cats at least two columns apart, so no cats touch at a corner.
Why the key move works
Reserve column 2 for the lower-left pink region
Column 1 is used, and row 5 is occupied. The lower-left pink region is left with R4 C2 or R6 C2. It reserves column 2, excluding the green R3 C2 and cyan R1 C2.

These are frames from Nasir Ali Gamer’s recorded Meowdoku playthrough. The clean diagrams use the same region geometry; their colors are visual identifiers. Video trial moves are preserved in the source frames and explained in the captions.
Complete solving process
All steps are shown below. The route uses rule-based deductions and explains each forced square or exclusion. You can use the answer above to check your board without reading the whole sequence.
Keep the starting cat at R2 C1
This dark-pink single is the pre-placed cat in the recording. It fills row 2 and column 1.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Place the purple single at R5 C4
The purple color consists only of R5 C4. It fills row 5 and column 4, and rules out the touching cells R4 C3 and R4 C5.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Reserve column 2 for the lower-left pink region
Column 1 is used, and row 5 is occupied. The lower-left pink region is left with R4 C2 or R6 C2. It reserves column 2, excluding the green R3 C2 and cyan R1 C2.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Reserve column 6 for yellow
The yellow cells outside column 6 are in the occupied second row or fourth column, or touch the purple cat. Its remaining candidates are R3 C6 and R4 C6. This excludes the green R6 C6.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Place yellow at R4 C6
Green now has only R3 C3 or R3 C5, so green must occupy row 3. That removes the yellow candidate R3 C6, forcing yellow to R4 C6.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Place green at R3 C3
R3 C5 touches the newly placed cat at R4 C6 diagonally. The remaining green candidate is R3 C3.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Place the lower-left pink cat at R6 C2
Its other candidate R4 C2 is in the completed fourth row, so this cat is forced into R6 C2.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
Finish cyan at R1 C5
Rows 2 through 6 are filled. Columns 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 are used, so the final top-row cat is R1 C5.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
What can go wrong on Level 9?
- The recorded opening cat is R2 C1, not R1 C5. R1 C5 is placed later. Compare the opening screenshot before following the coordinates.
- The bottom-left pink squares are not interchangeable after the fourth-row yellow cat is placed.
Audit the row, column, colored region and immediate diagonal neighbors after every cat. If your copied board gives no solution, check uncertain X marks before changing a region boundary.
The lesson to carry into the next board
Two regions confined to columns can eliminate a false middle option and turn the rest of the board into a forced chain.
On your next puzzle, look for the same type of constraint before choosing a square. A useful question is: “Which row, column or region now has fewer candidates because of my last cat?” Keep the answer tied to a specific marked cell.

This guide covers the mobile-game board visible in the linked Nasir Ali Gamer recording. Its region geometry, starting cat and completed cat locations were visually checked against the extracted opening and final frames; a solver verified the unique legal solution. Region numbers are arbitrary identifiers. Compare the opening screenshot with your board before following the coordinates.

Level 9 questions
What is the Meowdoku Level 9 answer?
For this 6×6 recorded board, the cats belong at R1C5, R2C1, R3C3, R4C6, R5C4, R6C2. Compare the opening regions and given cats before applying the answer.
Why does the video use a different move order?
Several forced moves can be available at once. The written guide orders them to explain a clear deduction chain. Rejected trial crosses in the source video are not placements to copy.
What if my board is different?
Use the Meowdoku solver with your exact region map and known cats. A different map can have a different answer under the same number.
