The opening idea
The rose cat at R3C6 forces teal to the upper-right R1C7. Together with the magenta R4C1 and violet R6C5, it leaves brown only R5C3.

Reveal all 7 cat positions
Cat coordinates
- R1C7Row 1, column 7
- R2C4Row 2, column 4
- R3C6Row 3, column 6
- R4C1Row 4, column 1
- R5C3Row 5, column 3
- R6C5Row 6, column 5
- R7C2Row 7, column 2
The 7 cats occupy distinct rows, columns and regions. Neighboring rows place cats at least two columns apart, so no cats touch at a corner.
Why the key move works
Take the rose singleton at R3C6
Rose occupies the one square at R3C6. Place its cat, then close row 3 and column 6. Cross its diagonals R2C5, R2C7, R4C5 and R4C7. The two row-2 teal squares next to column 6 are now both unavailable.

These are frames from Nasir Ali Gamer’s recorded Meowdoku playthrough. The clean diagrams use the same region geometry; their colors are visual identifiers. Video trial moves are preserved in the source frames and explained in the captions.
Read the regions before choosing a cat
pink: 13 cells; teal: 5 cells; green: 16 cells; rose: 1 cell; brown: 12 cells; magenta: 1 cell; violet: 1 cell.
Count the remaining candidates in the narrow regions before choosing a square in the larger colors. Follow every region boundary; a color’s cat completes its entire region.
Complete solving process
All steps are shown below. The route uses rule-based deductions and explains each forced square or exclusion. You can use the answer above to check your board without reading the whole sequence.
region 3 has exactly one available square
Take the rose singleton at R3C6
Rose occupies the one square at R3C6. Place its cat, then close row 3 and column 6. Cross its diagonals R2C5, R2C7, R4C5 and R4C7. The two row-2 teal squares next to column 6 are now both unavailable.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
region 1 has exactly one available square
The teal cat must be R1C7
Teal has five squares: R1C7, R2C5, R2C6, R2C7 and R3C5. The row-2 outer squares touch the rose cat, C6 shares its column, and R3C5 shares its row. R1C7 alone remains. Place teal there; row 1 and column 7 are now closed.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
region 5 has exactly one available square
Put magenta at R4C1
The dark magenta square at R4C1 is its own region. Place this cat and close column 1. Mark R3C2 and R5C2 as diagonal neighbors. This removes two green choices and frees you to inspect the central brown region later.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
region 6 has exactly one available square
Put violet at R6C5
Violet occupies only R6C5. Its cat closes row 6 and column 5, then removes R5C4, R5C6, R7C4 and R7C6 diagonally. Those four marks are crucial: the first two restrict brown, while the latter two restrict green.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
region 4 has exactly one available square
Brown collapses to R5C3
Brown’s rows 3, 4 and 6 are already occupied. Its remaining row-5 squares are C3, C4, C5 and C7. C4 touches the violet cat, C5 is the violet column, and C7 is the teal column. R5C3 is the only brown candidate. Place it and cross column 3.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
region 2 has exactly one available square
The green cat is R7C2
All green cells above row 7 are now blocked by occupied rows or columns. In row 7, columns 1, 3, 5, 6 and 7 are used. R7C4 touches the violet cat at R6C5 diagonally. Only R7C2 remains. Place it to close the bottom row and column 2.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
region 0 has exactly one available square
Finish pink at R2C4
Row 2 is the only row without a cat. All columns except 4 have been used, so R2C4 is forced. It belongs to pink and does not touch the rose cat at R3C6. The seven cats form the column sequence 7, 4, 6, 1, 3, 5, 2.
Outlined cells show this step’s change. Cats and X marks carry forward.
What can go wrong on Level 15?
- R2C5 and R2C7 both touch the rose singleton diagonally; they are not alternate teal answers.
- R5C4 is brown, but it is adjacent diagonally to the violet R6C5 anchor.
- The large green area still needs one cat only. Count available columns after brown is placed instead of choosing a large open area.
Audit the row, column, colored region and immediate diagonal neighbors after every cat. If your copied board gives no solution, check uncertain X marks before changing a region boundary.
The lesson to carry into the next board
Larger boards can still solve through a short anchor chain. The key in Level 15 is updating diagonals immediately so the broad brown and green regions become singletons.
On your next puzzle, look for the same type of constraint before choosing a square. A useful question is: “Which row, column or region now has fewer candidates because of my last cat?” Keep the answer tied to a specific marked cell.

Board transcribed from the original Meowdoku app shown in Nasir Ali Gamer’s linked tutorial. Every region and cat coordinate was independently checked against the opening and completed video frames. Exact constraint enumeration found one solution, and the written logic uses only deterministic rule deductions. The different layout on meowdoku.app at this level number was rejected rather than treated as the original board. Videos may include rejected trial moves (orange crosses) or a different move order; those are not steps to copy. The diagrams and text teach a separate verified route for this exact video layout. No app build number is visible in the tutorial, so this guide identifies the version by source video and board shape.

Level 15 questions
What is the Meowdoku Level 15 answer?
For the 7×7 video board, place the cats at R1C7, R2C4, R3C6, R4C1, R5C3, R6C5, R7C2. Match the region shapes first.
How do I get unstuck on Meowdoku Level 15?
After four cats, inspect brown only in row 5. If R5C4 remains, mark the diagonal from R6C5; brown then becomes R5C3.
Why does my board look different?
This guide records a specific original app walkthrough. Different game versions, progression or level ordering can show another board with the same number. Compare the opening screenshot and use the solver for a different layout.
